Olark is a lightweight method to chat with visitors to your website using your existing instant messaging client. Visitors to your website appear as buddies on your Buddy list, their messages to you appear as IMs.
Linode experienced some internal network issues today for about 10 minutes, luckily they fixed it pretty quickly. Unlucky for them and us, it never should have happened. We’ll be ramping up our paid offerings in the coming months and the first thing we’ll be doing is getting away from this linode liability.

I still need to get around to writing the Xcode tutorial for building really cool webkit applications. (i.e. like the Hab.la Adium/iChat installer), but I have made a few minor improvements that might be useful for our institutional users who pass our installer around.
The new installer has better error handling, and includes a readme file.

Also we had an outage this morning when we ran out of space on /var due to logging. I could have sworn we already fixed the log rotation problem, this is ridiculous, of course at least it was sunday morning. (Our most off peak time on our more off peak day).
A few days ago we ran out of space in /tmp, which, was affecting most users. We’ve solved these problems by adding a crontab to automatically clear out older tmp files.
Just wanted to keep you guys informed.
