Hab.la con las bibliotecas!

Here it is folks, after far too many delays, Hab.la finally owns up to what we’ve had posted on the front page all along…

Hab.la plays nice with libraries!

That’s right, Hab.la now has special much sought after library-only features that make it not only practical, but a joy to converse with your patrons using Hab.la. Among the library only features is multi-operator support — basically it does what it says.

You can now have multiple operators connected to the Hab.la widget on your page with conversations being distributed across users with a method of your choosing:

  • First-Come - Send a patron’s request to all librarians, and the first to respond will handle the question
  • Mirror - All librarians see and can respond to all chatsR
  • round Robin

So you don’t have to be Mavis Beacon to chat with the 20 concurrent active users we now allow for libraries, you can actually have some help. And of course, Hab.la for libraries is, and will always be, completely free is your library is not-for-profit.

Are there such things as FOR profit libraries? That just doesn’t seem right…
